AM appoints Renée Hoogendoorn as Managing Director area development (NL)

Per 1 June 2007, ir. Renée Hoogendoorn (49) will join AM as Managing Director area development. In addition, she will become Deputy Director of AM Grondbedrijf.

As Managing Director Strategische Projecten at ING Real Estate Development Nederland, Renée Hoogendoorn has been responsible for major area developments of ING Real Estate over the last twelve years, amongst which the ArenA Boulevard, GETZ Entertainment Center and the South Axis in Amsterdam. In addition, she committed herself to strategic market research and acquisitions and frequently carried out her vision on area development, partnerships and the importance of cultural facilities in urban development. Prior to ING Real Estate she worked as architect at Groosman Partners and as advisor at Twijnstra Gudde.

"In my work I seek to bridge the worlds of the public sector and the market parties," Hoogendoorn comments. "AM focusses on long-term area development, where the common interests with regard to quality and sustainability are huge. In addition, AM is an experienced market player for the redevelopment of former industrial sites and obsolete city districts, which I consider a very interesting task for our country."

The appointment of Renée Hoogendoorn is in line with AM's growth strategy as full service area developer. Some of AM's current area development projects are Kaap de Goede Hoek (Rotterdam/Hoek van Holland), Zuidplaspolder (Gouda), Meerstad (Groningen), Bloemendaler Polder (Muiden/Weesp) and Bergse Haven (Bergen op Zoom).
