Alza.cz expands warehouses with JLL (CZ)

The largest electronic retailer and e-commerce pioneer in the Czech Republic Alza.cz will open a new 12,681 m² warehouse in September 2014. Alza.cz is expanding to a new location at the D8 motorway north of Prague, Prologis Park Prague-Úžice. The transaction was negotiated by the Industrial Agency of the real estate advisory company JLL.
Rudolf Žůrek, Logistics Manager of Alza.cz comments the lease agreement: “Having opened our new warehouse in Úžice, we can better meet our need for warehouse space expansion which has been driven by ever-increasing stock. This will help us continue widening our product portfolio in order to guarantee quick and effective delivery to shops and customers. The premises in Prologis Park Prague-Úžice perfectly suited our needs and requirements for technical parameters, price and flexibility of an A-class warehouse. JLL provided great support in this transaction, including a detailed and comprehensive comparison of all the market options as a basis for our decision.”
Martin Polák, Senior Vice President of Prologis, adds: “We are pleased that a prominent company such as Alza.cz decided to connect its growth with our logistics park Prologis Park Prague-Úžice. We believe that attractive lease conditions will help Alza.cz in their success and further expansion.”
Pavel Rufert, Consultant at JLL Industrial Agency, concludes: „Currently, the demand for units larger than 10,000 m² is very high, so we are delighted that we were successful in finding a number of suitable options in Greater Prague. We believe that Alza.cz’s business will continue to thrive after moving to this park and we are looking forward to cooperating with Alza.cz on their upcoming projects.”
