ALDAR Properties PJSC has announced that it has awarded a AED 380 million (ca. &3128;69 mln) contract to Ed Zublin AG for the construction of Injazat's Data Centre and office facility. Injazat Data Systems, the region's leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company announced that the new project will provide advanced high available IT-managed services and hosting facility.
Located on a 17,000-m² area in Madinat Mohammed Bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi, the project comprises a two-story Tier IV Data Centre with a 2,000-m² Data Hall designed to support up to 9,000 servers and associated infrastructure; a five-story headquarters building accommodating 1,000 employees and featuring recreation facilities such as a 200 seat auditorium, gymnasium, library, coffee shop and eight-story car park.
"The selected contractor and design teams for the project are reputable organizations and are suited to implement the scope of requirements for such a high-profile project. The selection of Zublin was subject to an extensive technical and commercial evaluation process where they were chosen based on demonstrating the most suitable expertise and market experience to execute this project," said Hazem Al Nowais, Senior Development Manager, ALDAR Properties PJSC. Al Nowais added, "The overall programme is on target, with completion of the Data Centre expected to be in early 2008. Piling work has been completed ahead of schedule and the substructure works nearing completion and Contractors design work on schedule."

Established in early 2005, Injazat Data Systems is an Abu Dhabi-based joint venture between Mubadala Development Company, a wholly owned investment vehicle of the government of the emirate of Abu Dhabi; and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a global IT and business process services giant.
