Al Habtoor Motors to open AED 350 mln. facility at Dubai Industrial City (UAE)

Al Habtoor Motors today signed an agreement with Dubai Industrial City, the Emirate's leading industrial destination and a member of Tatweer, to build an AED 350 mln. services, distribution and warehousing centre in the City's transport zone. Spread over 3 mln. ft² area, the facility will be fully operational by the second half of 2009.

The deal was signed by Rashed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Industrial City, and Ahmed Al Habtoor, Chief Executive Officer of Al Habtoor Motors, the exclusive dealers for Bentley, Aston Martin and Mitsubishi vehicles in the UAE.

Al Ansari said: "Dubai Industrial City offers the best environment and top of the range facilities for the automotive industry at the transport zone. The Al Habtoor centre will further strengthen our status as a key destination for manufacturing units. As more businesses choose Dubai Industrial City for their core activities, we anticipate an increase in the manufacturing of value added products within the free zone. In addition, regional economic expansion will add further momentum to the consolidation of Dubai Industrial City as a prime location for commercial activities."

Al Habtoor Motors will build a pre-delivery inspection centre, a spare-parts warehouse and distribution centre, a Mitsubishi vehicle centre, a vehicle storage facility, in addition to workshops that meet the professional standards of Bentley, Aston Martin, Mitsubishi Motors and Temsa.
