aik acquires Hofstaete in The Hague from ING REIM NL (NL)

aik (APO Immobilien-Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbh) has acquired the office building 'Gebouw Hofstaete' at the Parkstraat in The Hague on behalf of one of their real estate open-ended funds.

Hofstaete was part of the ING Dutch Office Fund, an unlisted real estate fund managed by ING Real Estate Investment Management Netherlands (ING REIM NL). aik is the property investment company for occupational pension funds and insurance companies.

Hofstaete is a well-known office building in The Hague, comprising approximately 4,193 m². It is located right in the middle of the city center, close to The Hague Central Station and within walking distance to the government premises at Het Binnenhof, the political heart of the city. The property also comprises 30 parking spaces.

The property was completed in 1986 and was recently extensively refurbished on behalf of the main tenant, the Rijksgebouwendienst. ING REIM NL signed a five-year lease agreement for approximately 1,770 m² with the Rijksgebouwendienst in March this year. The other main tenant is K.N.C.V. Approximately 700 m² of office space is still to be let.
