AccorHotels, the world’s leading hotel operator is to inaugurate Pullman Paris Roissy CDG Airport and ibis Styles Roissy CDG Airport hotels in the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, Europe’s second-largest and the world’s eighth-largest airport. These two milestone openings have pushed the Group’s worldwide room count over the 500,000 mark. It is planning to open more than 160,000 additional rooms by 2020, including 90% under franchise and management contracts.

Sophie Stabile, chief executive officer, AccorHotels HotelServices France, commented: “Besides enjoying buoyant growth in emerging countries, we are still on the lookout for exciting opportunities on our legacy market. AccorHotels is the leader in France, where it operates 1,500 hotels, and is planning to bolster its positions in strategic spots such as airports, where the Group is already operating more than 10,000 rooms. In 2014, for example, we signed an agreement with Aéroports de Paris to build three hotels in Paris-Orly airport, the largest economic centre south of Paris.”

Pullman Paris Roissy was designed as a living setting for exchanges and sharing. Designer Christophe Pillet created an elegant design concept where contemporary, timeless chic blends seamlessly with Pullman’s hallmark cosmopolitan atmosphere. All 305 rooms and suites are clad in gentle, natural colours with premium facilities that provide ultimate levels of comfort and a home -from-home ambience.

The restaurant, Culinaire Bazaar, serves authentic dishes made with quality ingredients; chef Thierry Coutable is keen on market produce and works with local farmers. At the bar, the creative crew work with rare or forgotten spirits such as the Rin Quin Quin from the time-honoured Distillerie et Domaines de Provence, and the cocktail menu naturally includes Absinth, Calvados and Cognac. Additional amenities include meeting rooms overlooking the runways, swimming pool and the 140m2 Fitness Centre.

The latest hotel from the ibis Styles economy brand was envisioned by Blanchet d’Istria, an interior architecture agency. The ubiquitous theme is space; deep colours and lean furniture sit side by side with space-age memorabilia to create a unique atmosphere in public areas. The theme continues in the 305 rooms where moon backlights adorn the headrest.

For the epicureans, this hotel has a fresh soup bar and a restaurant, the Foody’s Planet serving planchas and burgers from around the world. This hotel is suited to business travellers as much as tourists with soundproofing, free Wi-Fi and the coin récré (playground) for kids as only one of its family-friendly features. With these two hotels, the Group is creating more than 200 jobs in Greater Paris.
