On 10 October 2006 ABN AMRO announced that it has signed a sale and purchase agreement for the sale of Bouwfonds Property Finance to SNS REAAL for a total consideration of €810 million.
This follows the initial agreement on 31 July 2006 on the sale of Bouwfonds Property Development, Bouwfonds Asset Management, Bouwfonds Fondsenbeheer, Rijnlandse Bank and Bouwfonds Holding to Rabobank for €845 and the sale in principle of Bouwfonds Property Finance to SNS REAAL.
Both transactions are subject to the approval of the relevant supervisory and competition authorities and works councils and are expected to close before the end of the year.
