Aberdeen confirms its leading position in Nordic real estate (NO/SE/DK/FI)

Aberdeen Property Investors has confirmed its position as the leading property investment manager in the Nordic & Baltic regions in Euromoney's new Liquid Real Estate Awards. The company topped the category 'Leading investment manager for the Nordic & Baltic region' for the third consecutive year. Aberdeen also came first in the investment management category for the following individual countries: Denmark, Finland and Norway.

Aberdeen's property division, Aberdeen Property Investors, has grown strongly over the past two years as it has launched a number of new funds and expanded geographically. It currently has more than €13 billion under management through property funds or management mandates, an increase of almost 40% compared to only 12 months ago.

In the Nordic region, Aberdeen has three regional property funds with different risk profiles, as well as country specific funds in all four countries.

Ubbe Strihagen, International Director at Aberdeen Property Investors commented: "We are delighted to receive these awards, which we see as recognition by our clients for the strong performance we have delivered across our funds in the Nordic region. Our unrivalled local presence in the Nordic markets gives us access to a number of investment opportunities. Our strategy of local active management means our funds can deliver both excess returns and better risk control. We continue to have a positive view of the Nordic property market and forecast returns will be well above the European average."

The Euromoney Liquid real estate awards recognise achievements in the property industry in more than 50 countries in the different categories of investment, management, advisory services and financing. The awards are won based on nominations and votes submitted by investment banks, lenders, investors and advisors in the property industry.
