Aareal Bank AG has won the CEE Real Estate Quality Award for 2006 as the best European Banking and Financial Services Company in Central and Eastern Europe.
The award has been presented at the Central & Eastern European Real Estate Quality Awards held on 20 February 2007 at the Inter-Continental Hotel Warsaw, attended by more than 400 senior industry executives from ten countries. A total of 14 awards were presented to the most remarkable real estate projects of 2006, as well as to companies and industry professionals of the CEE real estate sector. The awards are given to the best real estate projects, companies and people nominated by the sector and judged by a "peer group" jury of senior financiers, developers and investors active across the CEE region.
Aareal Bank AG has received this award for the second time. Karl Wilson, General Manager of Aareal Bank's operations in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia stated: "We have performed well in 2006, and our focus on client service and our speed of closing has paid off. Furthermore our strategy of transparency towards our clients about range and timeframe of services from the beginning has proved to be successful. It also helps that we have been active in the region as a Bank with offices for close to ten years, and as such can also bring this experience to the table". "We are delighted to receive this award, a special thanks to our clients and our staff as we need both in order to make a deal happen. This award further cements our very strong position in these markets, and we look forward to winning it again next year", said Norbert Kickum, Member of the Management Board of Aareal Bank.
